You have a "found" pet.

It feels good to rescue a bewildered pet but now you  carry the burden of uniting  this pet with its real owner, finding it a new home or keeping it yourself.

These are options open to you to possibly find the original owner.

  • Leave your name and phone number with some persons nearby where you picked up the pet.
  • Phone the local jurisdictions, city or County clerks and animal control to give them a description of  the pet.
  • Phone  the Humane Society 457 6854 to give  them the pets description and your phone number.
  • Phone the Herald 452 7355 to place a "four days for free "found" ad in the lost and found section of the classified.
  • On the fourth day place an ad in the Herald 452 7355 Pet and Supplies section to find your new friend a home or better yet keep your friend., and forget the ad.

Now you have a new option!

As you care for this pet in your home,  you  may decide to keep it but if not, and the Herald ad didn't work call 509 966 3464 to get the pets picture on the internet for adoption. Since any pet we offer must be altered, and if yours is not then follow the procedure YOUR PET IS NOT ALTERED on the REHOME YOUR PET page. It doesn't mean you are to give up on the pets previous owner, just leave room in everyone's mind in case the owner is slow in coming.
